Frozen Red, White And Blue Cocktail

Featuring festive, patriotic colors, this Red White, And Blue Cocktail is perfect for Fourth of July parties! This is one of many of my Patriotic Holiday Ideas that will take your holiday to the next level.

This sparkly cocktail is almost too pretty to drink. You’ll be so proud of it that you’ll gladly show it off at your cookout or BBQ.

Don’t let all the bright colors intimidate you. This patriotic cocktail might look intricate, but it’s actually pretty simple – especially if you have a blender.

Featuring festive, patriotic colors, this Red White, And Blue Cocktail is like frozen slushy with red on the bottom and blue on the top layer with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Added are patriotic sprinkles. A bowl of extra cherries are off to the side.

So, if you’re looking for a fun and colorful cocktail to make this July, keep reading! I’ll show you how to make an easy layered frozen cocktail for the 4th of July.

Kitchen Tools

Do you need a lot of kitchen tools to make a red, white, and blue cocktail? Nope! You don’t have to be a bartender or even have a kitchen full of bar tools.

You only need three things – a blender, glasses, and a shot glass.

Since this is a frozen cocktail, you will need to blend the liquor with some ice. The best way to do this is to use a high-powered blender.

A larger blender can make enough for a group of people. If you’re just making a few cocktails, you can use something smaller (like a Magic Bullet).

You’ll also need a glass to serve it in. I used a glass wine tumbler. That works perfectly! You can serve it in almost anything. Go really festive and use a red, white, and blue cup.

Bottles of Malibu Rum, Grenadine, Spiced Rum and Blue Curacao are the alcohol used in this patriotic cocktail.

Finally, make sure you have some kind of shot glass. This way you can accurately measure each type of liquor for your drink.

Type of Liquor in a Red, White, and Blue Cocktail

There are four different types of liquor in this fun cocktail, with a lot of room for creativity. Feel free to change it up to match your tastes.

Here is a quick list of the types of liquor I used:

  • Grenadine
  • Spiced Rum
  • Blue Curacao
  • Malibu

I also flavored each layer with some Sweet and Sour Mix.

Some of the layers are accentuated with food coloring. Make it as bold or muted as you like.

Then, don’t forget to top the drink with some whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry!

The garnish is the fun part! You could even add a little umbrella or a sparkling drink pick.
