Frozen Red, White, and Blue Cocktail

This easy red, white, and blue cocktail is a frozen drink that everyone loves.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Cookie / Ice cream scoop
  • Tall straw or Skewer

Ingredients

Red Layer

  • 2 ounces Grenadine Liquor
  • 1 ounce Spiced Rum
  • 3 ounces Sweet and Sour Mix
  • 2 cups Ice

Blue Layer

  • 2 ounces Blue Curacao
  • 1 ounce Spiced Rum
  • 3 ounces Sweet and Sour Mix
  • 1 drop Blue food coloring
  • 2 cups Ice

White Layer

  • 2 ounces Malibu
  • 1 ounce Spiced Rum
  • 3 ounces Sweet and Sour Mix
  • 2 cups Ice

Instructions

Red Layer

  • In a blender add all of your cocktail ingredients. Blend on high until smooth.
  • Pour into a small container or pitcher.
  • Set to the side.

Blue Layer

  • In a blender add all of your cocktail ingredients. Blend on high until smooth.
  • Pour into a small container or pitcher.
  • Set to the side.

White Layer

  • In a blender add all of your cocktail ingredients. Blend on high until smooth.
  • Pour into a small container or pitcher.
  • Set to the side.

Creating Your Drink

  • Using a cookie / ice cream scoop, scoop out the red mixture and add to the glass.
  • Scoop out the white mixture and add to the glass.
  • Scoop out the blue mixture and add to the glass.
  • Lightly tap the glass on the counter to allow the cocktail mixtures to combine and settle to the bottom. Take a tall straw and insert it into the sides of the glass to incorporate layers together giving it a star burst design.
  • Garnish and enjoy.
