St. Patrick’s Day Cocktail

It takes almost no effort at all to make this drink! Even beginner mixologists can whip up this drink in no time at all.

All you have to do is muddle the mint, shake it up with the rest of the ingredients, and strain it as you pour!

It’s almost more fun to make the drink than it is to drink it…almost!

Whiskey Mojito

Usually, mojitos are made with rum. And I stayed true to that tradition! I used lemon Bicardi – so there is rum in it.

But in order to keep it Irish and authentic, I used my favorite Irish whiskey in it.

The best Irish whiskey is Jameson’s. You can’t get better than that! Just like this Jameson Sour Cocktail, it makes a great drink.

Any whiskey that says it is from Ireland will work. It’s a very strong liquor, so you don’t need much!

There are so many other things you can make with Irish whiskey, too.

You won’t regret buying a little extra.

Use Fresh Mint

One of the things that makes a mojito unique is the bright flavors of mint. So, for this Irish whiskey mojito, use fresh mint leaves. You’ll be able to taste the difference!

If you don’t have any fresh mint, you can also use some mint extract or mint syrup. Whatever you do, don’t skip the mint.

When you muddle the fresh mint, you’ll smell and taste the difference!

Then, save some extra mint leaves to use as a garnish for your drink.

Use Fresh Lime Juice

Just like the mint, using fresh lime juice will make your mojito taste fresh and amazing! I suggest grabbing two limes from the grocery store and using a juicer to get as much juice out of them as possible.

If you don’t have limes, bottled lime juice will work too.

Use A Cocktail Shaker

If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, grab one! It is so much easier to make this drink when you have the shaker and the strainer. You can also use two glasses and a small tea strainer, but the shaker is just the perfect size.
