The whipped topping is perfect for balancing out the sweetness of the Bailey’s Irish Cream and the condensed milk – and let’s be honest…having a whipping topping mustache after taking the shot is pretty fun as well!

Anyone in the 21+ crowd will love these sweet shots! They’re like little mini desserts that you can sip and enjoy.

Does Bailey’s Irish cream contain alcohol?

You better believe it! Bailey’s Irish Cream is about 17% proof alcohol, so there is going to be that kick of whiskey with each sip.

The sweetness of the Irish Cream does help to balance out that alcoholic flavor and taste, but it is still present. This is why mixing it with the gelatin and having the sweet whipped topping really completes that overall flavor.

(and if you want to make this shot non-alcoholic, you can leave it out and just use Bailey’s flavored coffee creamer in its place)

Can I make this Sweet Whiskey Shot ahead of time?

Yes, you actually have to! Since gelatin is added to this recipe, making it ahead of time and letting it set for 24 hours is a must.

If you try and rush it, you’ll lose out on that texture that everyone loves. Plan on making it at least 24 hours in advance!

This will help the shot to firm up and be perfect!

What are the best toppings for shot drink recipes?

The toppings can vary, depending on the ingredients. It’s a safe bet to have sweet toppings if you have a sweet shot.

Whipped cream, chocolate shavings, ground cinnamon, caramel drizzle, and chocolate syrup are going to be among the most popular topping options.

You can also leave toppings off and just add sugar or chocolate syrup directly to the rim of the shot glass.
