How to Make a Shark-Themed Charcuterie Board (No Scuba Gear Required)
1. Shape Your Shark
Mix your cream cheeses, shredded cheese, and garlic until smooth and irresistible. Plop it onto some plastic wrap and sculpt it into a triangle—this is your soon-to-be-chomped shark! Chill it for a few hours so it holds its shape.
When it’s firm, move it onto your board. Sprinkle poppy seeds over the “back” for that classic shark look, but let the “belly” stay white. Create a mouth with chorizo or salami, then add those sharp cheese “teeth.” Top off with a cheesy eye (add a black olive for the pupil). Feeding frenzy, incoming!
2. Create the Blue Ocean
Scatter your berries around the shark for glimmering, oceanic goodness. Not only do they look awesome, but they’re juicy and fresh—a win-win!
3. Seaweed and Sea Life
Twist those green ribbon candies around the edges for wavy seaweed. Pop starfish gummies in here and there for a POP of color (and extra smiles from little board explorers).
4. Snack Attack!
Pile on those crackers, pretzels, and anything else you’re craving. Mix up the shapes and colors so it feels like the whole ocean’s been invited. The more variety, the more fun!
5. Final Touches
Fill in gaps with sage leaves for an ocean-fresh finish. Pop a few mini forks or toothpicks nearby so everyone can take a nibble without getting their hands all gooey. And there you have it—you’ve just built a sea-worthy masterpiece!
