Refreshing Ocean Water Cocktail
An Ocean Water Cocktail is one of my favorite drinks to cool down with on a sunny and hot day!
I love how the bright blue color instantly reminds me of beach waves and fun summer memories. It’s the perfect mix of tropical flavors that feels like a vacation in every sip—refreshing, light, and so pretty!
When I think of Summer Cocktails, this one always comes to mind because it’s just so fun and easy to enjoy.
I like serving it at parties, especially when I want something colorful that still tastes amazing! It’s super simple to make, but you can totally dress it up to look extra cute.

Make Your Cocktail Instagram-Worthy
Okay, let’s be real—if I’m making a cocktail, I want it to look as good as it tastes. I’m talking picture-perfect, beachy vibes, straight from a vacation magazine. My secret weapon? Cute garnishes.
I love throwing in a pineapple wedge with a mini umbrella. Or a twisty orange peel draped dramatically over the rim—yes, it’s extra, and yes, I’m obsessed! If I’m feeling fancy, I like to freeze edible flowers in ice cubes. It makes the drink look magical and melts into this slow, pretty reveal.
And don’t even get me started on glassware. I always reach for something with flair—think curvy hurricane glasses or sleek stemless goblets. Even a mason jar glass with a striped straw can be a vibe.
Add some crushed ice to give it that frosty, fresh-from-the-ocean glow. A little mint sprig never hurt anyone either—it screams “I’m sophisticated” and “I love plants.”
Want to go all out? Rim the glass with colored sugar for that mermaid-core look!
Bright blue sanding sugar is my favorite because it just makes everything pop. Trust me, the camera loves it. And don’t forget lighting! I always take my cocktail selfies in natural light. That golden hour glow makes the colors sparkle like magic.
So next time you blend up your Ocean Water, dress it up like a star—because cocktails deserve their moment in the spotlight too.
How to Make Refreshing Ocean Water Cocktails
Let me tell you—this Ocean Water cocktail is my beach vacation in a glass! Even if I’m nowhere near a beach, I sip this and immediately feel like I am. It’s the kind of drink that says, “I’ve got sunscreen on and no responsibilities.”

I start with ice, obviously, because I like mine super slushy. The more it feels like a grown-up slushie, the better. Then comes the fun part—adding that gorgeous blue curacao. I love watching it swirl like a tropical ocean wave, just like in this Shark Bite Drink.
Pineapple juice is next, and it makes everything taste like a tiki bar dream!
I toss in a splash of orange, just for a citrusy kick. Sometimes I use an orange wedge, sometimes I just go wild with juice. Then I blend it all together until it’s smooth and cold. The color is this perfect tropical blue—it literally glows.
This drink is ideal to accompany any of these Tropical Party Ideas! The same goes for these Pool Party Jello Shots — they are perfect for entertaining poolside on a long, summer day.

Then I top it off with a pineapple slice or a lime wheel—depends on my mood. It’s the kind of drink I love serving at summer parties. People take one look and go, “Wait, what is that? I need one.” It’s sweet, it’s tangy, and it absolutely brings vacation vibes to any day.
So, whether it’s a backyard party or just a Tuesday, this Ocean Water cocktail is a go-to. Because life’s better when your drink looks and tastes like paradise.
