First, I will share some of my favorite fall party tips. These tips will help you plan a fail-free party that everyone loves.
Fall Party Locations
Where is the best place to host a party in the fall? As someone who has hosted many parties, I can honestly say that it depends on the weather and how many people you’re inviting.
Fall weather can be iffy, but if it’s going to be nice, to have it outside. The cooler weather is a relief after the hot summer. If you’re going to invite a bunch of people, maybe have it at a local pumpkin patch or park.
Always have a backup location you can go to just in case it decides to storm.
You should also consider the kind of fall party recipes that you want to make. How portable are they?
Sometimes it’s just a lot easier to host the party at your house (or at a location that has a kitchen where you can make the food).
There are social halls that you can rent and they come with kitchens. Some churches also offer kitchen and hall rentals.

Finally, consider where everyone will sit. Will it be a relaxed party? Or will it be a come and go event, where people won’t stay long enough to sit?
Yes, there are a ton of things to consider, but once you narrow down the location, you can move to the food and decorations.
Where To Buy Fall Party Supplies
Speaking of the decorations, save money and ask your friends if they have fall decor that you can borrow. Shop thrift stores and flea markets.
Party decorations are things people sometimes buy once and then donate rather than try to find a place to store them.
You might also be able to find a lot of your supplies on sale! Always check out craft stores like Hobby Lobby, Joann’s Fabric, or Michael’s.
Don’t forget about Amazon! I love using Amazon Prime for those last-minute things I forgot. They have low prices and two-day shipping!

Plus, it’s so convenient not having to deal with the traffic and the crowds. Shopping online is so much more relaxing.
Fall Drinks
As you plan the food for the party, don’t forget about the drinks! I have a bunch of fall drink recipes here on Oh My Creative. Use the search bar to look for your favorite kinds. Here are just a few to start with:
And remember – anything can be made into a mocktail. Just replace the alcohol with something else, like fruit juice. Now you’ve got everything you need for your upcoming party!
