They’re sweet, slightly nostalgic, and way more exciting than your average cocktail. If you’re into playful party treats like I am, you’re going to be obsessed with these.
Let’s explore how to make Fuzzy Navel Jello Shots that are perfect for summer gatherings!
Best Tips on Making Jello Shots
Jello shots are fun, festive, and honestly way easier to make than people think. I love making them for parties because they always get people excited!
My first tip? Use small plastic cups and place them on a baking sheet so you’re not chasing wobbly shots around your fridge. Trust me, I’ve been there. I like using fruit juice instead of water—it adds more flavor and feels fancy with barely any effort.
If you’re using alcohol, don’t go overboard or your shots won’t set. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way. Continuously whisk the gelatin—no clumps allowed!

Another thing I swear by is letting the mixture cool slightly before pouring it into the cups. Mixing hot liquid with plastic cups is not a good idea. I like to chill mine for at least four hours, but overnight is even better.
And don’t forget the garnish! A little candy or fruit on top makes it look extra fun and super cute. My favorite? Peach rings or gummy bears—total crowd-pleasers. I also enjoy creating different flavors and labeling them with washi tape, so people can pick their favorite.
Honestly, once you get the hang of it, you’ll want to make Jello shots for every event. They’re colorful, customizable, and always the life of the party.
Nostalgic Jello Shots
These Fuzzy Navel Jello Shots are fruity, nostalgic, and basically scream “party in a cup.” I love how the orange juice and peach schnapps combo tastes like summer vacation and candy mixed together. And it reminds me of the old time fuzzy navel cocktail of the past.
First things first, grab your plastic cups and set them in a muffin tin or on a baking sheet. That way, no spills while moving them to the fridge (I learned that the hard way)!. I like to heat up the orange juice just enough to get steamy but not boiling.

Then I whisk in the gelatin well—no one wants clumps in their shot! Once that’s smooth, I stir in the remaining juice and all that peachy goodness. Pour it into the cups, stick them in the fridge, and try not to peek every ten minutes like I do.
After a few hours, you’ll have perfectly jiggly shots that are sweet, smooth, and so cute. And don’t skip the Peach O’s Gummy Candy on top, it’s my favorite part! It makes them look adorable and adds a chewy surprise.
These Fuzzy Navel Jello Shots are easy, delicious, and way more fun than just pouring drinks. If you love cocktails with a playful twist, this recipe will be your new party favorite.
