Whether you’re a seasoned Jello shot pro or this is your first time making them, this recipe is perfect for you!
Easy Pineapple Jello Shots
Did I use pineapple or tropical-flavored jello in the jello shots? Nope! I thought that flavored gelatin would overpower the flavors from the pineapple juice and condensed milk.
In order to recreate a smooth and sweet Dole Whip, I used real pineapple juice to get that citrus flavor – and it worked!
I can’t wait to see what you think of the ease of this simple jello shot recipe – because the flavor is so good!
Be sure to have whipped cream on hand to add as the topping. It’s a great way to add more sweetness and another layer of taste!
When is a good time to serve them? Anytime! You might think of Summertime when you think of pineapples, and that’s ok. But they are tasty any time of year.
They’re a fun and needed addition during the warmer months of the year, but I think that having them during the colder months will have you dreaming and looking forward to summer.
Best Type of Alcohol
I used both whipped vodka and pineapple tequila to make the Jello shots.
Even if you’re not usually a fan of tequila, try it! You can’t really taste the tequila – especially flavored tequila.
But you don’t have to use tequila; You can use pineapple vodka instead. New Amsterdam makes a delicious vodka that will taste perfect with the Jello shots.
The whipped vodka sweetens the shots and works really well with the condensed milk.
And if you can find pineapple and jalapeno tequila, get it! That little hint of spice really adds deeper flavors to the sweet jello shots.
