Reindeer Mix Tips

You can probably guess how to make it just by looking at it, but here are some photos showing you how I made it, along with some tips.

Pop the Popcorn

Make some buttered popcorn and remove all the unpopped kernels. Then, place the popped ones on a baking sheet that is covered with parchment paper. Use butter popcorn or unbuttered.

Add Mini Pretzels

Next, layer some mini pretzels on top of the popcorn. You could use pretzel sticks instead. Or, add some flavored mini pretzels.

Melt The Chocolate

Follow the package directions for the milk chocolate wafers and red melting chocolate wafers. If you try to melt them in the microwave, do it 30-seconds at a time, stirring really well after each interval.

Drizzle Chocolate On Snack Mix

Use a spoon to slowly drizzle the melted milk chocolate on top of the pretzels. Then, sprinkle the eye candies on top.

Add Red Chocolate

Repeat the previous step with the melted red chocolate too. Finally, add your favorite candy on top. I used M&Ms, but you could add chocolate chips and Reese’s Pieces too.

How To Store Reindeer Snack Mix

Store the mixed and prepared reindeer snack mix in an airtight food storage bag or container. Keep it at room temperature. If you store it somewhere that is too warm, the chocolate will melt. Popcorn should not be refrigerated, so keep this at room temperature.

I like to keep them in individual snack bags. It prevents me (and the kids) from eating too much at once. It’s so delicious!

More Fun Christmas Treats:

While reindeer treats are so cute and fun to make, I also enjoy these holiday bites. Some favorites include these Chocolate Pretzel Christmas Trees, Marshmallow Polar Bear Treats and this Grinch Snack.
