Santa Suit Christmas Treats
I think one of the best things about the holidays is creating fun treats and desserts! They are hard to resist and always get a few oohs and ahhs from friends! These Santa Suit Christmas Treats are so adorable. I love the big yellow buckle on Santa’s suit! Just imagine showing up for a party with a plate full of these! Nope, they won’t last long. A few years ago I made these Chocolate Christmas Trees for a party I was attending. I no sooner set the plate down and the festive Tree Christmas treats were gone.
Another favorite of mine {especial if you love Rice Krispies treats} is this Santa Stuck in a Chimney Treats. So flippin’ cute!

How to make Santa Suit Christmas Treats
SUPPLIES:
1 ½ cup Red Candy Melts/Discs
Wilton Santa’s Belt Decorating Kit
24 Square Waffle style Pretzels
Wilton’s Dab & Hold edible adhesive
Now these might look a little hard to make but not really. Pick up the Wilton Santa’s Belt Decorating Kit and these will be as easy as pie!
Take the black candy stripes and cut into 24 strips to 1.5 inches.
Take your edible adhesive (you can use any type of edible adhesive you’d like…frosting, melted chocolate, etc.) and line one side of the belt buckle. Place buckle in the middle of the black candy strip. Let those dry.
Now take your red candy discs and put in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue to do this until discs are all melted. I usually like to shorten the time I microwave to 20 seconds as candy discs start to melt so I don’t overdue it. Sometimes the discs, when overheated, become hard or overcooked. Then it has to be thrown away.
Dip each pretzel in the red chocolate. Get a nice even coat and lay on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. (If chocolate is a little thick then just take a small knife and spread around the top of the pretzel to get that nice coat).
Add the belt to each pretzel as you take them out of the chocolate.
Let dry for about 10-15 minutes and they are ready to serve!
