Peeps Pudding Pops
This is a pretty easy Easter treat sure to please the kiddos! While these Peeps Pudding Pops are not perfect, they are pretty darn cute! Let’s see how to make them shall we…
SUPPLIES:
First, I took a very sharp knife and cut into the bottom of the peeps creating a small pocket. Take the popsicle stick and insert it into the peep. It is very hard to insert the popsicle stick without doing this first.
Follow package instructions to make the pudding and spoon in a small amount into the bottom of the mold. Gently slide in the Peeps on the sticks. Then spoon in additional pudding. Tap gently on the table to help the pudding settle around the Peeps.
Use a few drops of liquid green food coloring to tint the coconut and sprinkle it on top pressing it into the pudding.
Place in the freezer. I let my pops freeze overnight. Be gentle removing the pudding pops from the mold. Pudding is soft and wants to soften quickly.
I was a little impatient and began running the mold under hot water, but I don’t really recommend doing this. I would let them sit out for a short time and then try removing. The pink sugar that coats the Peeps began to melt when I ran it under the warm water. I also took a sharp knife and ran it down the back side of the pop to loosen it a bit!
Not perfect…but fun!
