Vodka Jello Shots

Easy ingredients mean easy recipes! If you’re a fan of vodka, use this simple jello shot recipe to get all that fun flavor.

Jello shots aren’t a new concept, but they are ones that you can easily change the flavor. This means that you can change the flavor of the jello and redo this recipe to be new and unique over and over again.

Don’t forget to give yourself some time for the jello to harden up. This is the “hardest” part of the entire recipe – and it just requires a little bit of patience.

This recipe is perfect for sharing with family and friends – and bringing along the most popular item for sure!

Just be sure that you measure the ingredients and follow the easy steps on the recipe card below! These easy citrus jello shots will turn out perfectly every time.

Jello Shot Supplies:

hand pouring the gelatin mixture into a saucepan

Add your hot water to a saucepan on the stove so that it gets good and hot! You’ll need that water to dissolve the jello packet so that it forms correctly.

I like to stir with a whisk for the best results.

The other great part about making DIY jello shots is that you can change the type of vodka that you use.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even use flavored vodka!

How to make Jello Shots with Vodka

Using vodka is delicious, but don’t forget that you can use tequila and other flavors of liquor, too!

I tend to prefer vodka because it has a flavor that doesn’t overpower the rest of the jello shots.

Plus, it doesn’t change the coloring of the creamsicle jello shot, either!

I love that bright orange coloring that the orange jello gives – and I don’t want anything to change or overpower that.

You can get individual plastic containers with lids to store them in, and I’ve found that it works great for parties!

If you don’t want to spend extra money on storage containers, you can just use shot glasses that you might have at home. You would need to have quite a collection, but if you do, that would be a super cool and retro vibe for the party!
