I love to plan parties like my Vintage Luau Party a few years ago.

I created lots of details including a Lava Colada signature drink…super yummy and a big hit. This Hawaiian Luau Party Sign greeted my guests as they walked along the sidewalk to the patio.

Everyone helped themselves to a luau lei and I didn’t have to run around handing them out!

 Hawaiian Luau Party Sign

So once you have all your supplies, the sign is easy to assemble.

First, I cut a decorative edge on the top and bottom. The printable will be on 8.5″ x 11″ paper, and the scrapbook paper is 12″ x 12,” so there is room on the top and bottom to trim some away and keep an equal border around the white printable.

I then cut a wavy edge to the printable. Spray the back of the print lightly with the spray adhesive and then place it in the center of the scrapbook paper. Press and smooth out.

Attach the sign to the basket using the jute. Take the hole punch and punch two holes about 4″ to 5″ apart at the top of the sign. Cut a 6″ to 8″ piece of jute string and feed it through the holes and around the basket handle. Tie knots at both ends on the front of the sign.

My basket hung on a tall garden stake…it couldn’t be missed!
