Lemonade Margarita Variations to Try
Okay, so you’ve made the classic Lemonade Margarita… now it’s time to get wild. And I mean deliciously wild.
Strawberry Lemonade Margarita
This is a favorite drink. It’s like a grown-up slushy I never knew I needed until now. Blend frozen strawberries with your margarita mix and boom—pure magic in a glass. I like to top it with a little umbrella because I’m dramatic like that.
Spicy Lemonade Margarita
If you love a little kick (or you’re a spice daredevil), try adding chili powder to the rim. You can even throw in a jalapeño slice or two if you’re feeling bold. I like this one when I’m pretending to be a mixologist with an edge.
Frozen Lemonade Margarita
Hot day? Toss everything in a blender and freeze your tastebuds with a frozen twist. It’s basically a lemonade margarita snow cone for adults, and I’m very obsessed. I always add extra ice because brain freeze is part of the fun, right?

Cucumber Mint Lemonade Margarita
Feeling fancy and fresh? Toss in muddled cucumber and mint for a super refreshing sip. I serve this one when I want to impress people without actually doing much work. Seriously, it’s a spa day in a margarita glass.
So go ahead—get creative, mix things up, and turn your basic lemonade margarita into a party starter. It’s all about finding the version that makes your tastebuds dance (and maybe your feet too).
How to Make the Best Summer Lemonade Margarita Drink
Making the best summer Lemonade Margarita is honestly one of my favorite five-minute rituals. I like to kick things off by prepping the glass—because yes, the glass matters. I usually go for something with a wide rim!
First, I dip the edge in simple syrup, then press it into sugar or salt, depending on my mood. If I’m feeling sweet, I use sugar. If I’m feeling bold, salt is the way to go. Once that’s done, I set the glass aside and get ready to mix.
Now for the fun part—the shake! I fill my glass about three-quarters full with ice. It keeps everything cool and crisp. In a shaker, I throw in all the good stuff—tequila, limoncello, triple sec, lemonade, and sweet and sour mix.
I don’t measure too strictly unless I’m making a big batch. I like it citrusy and strong, just enough to give me that summer buzz. Give it a good shake! Seriously, pretend you’re in a movie montage.
Once that’s ready, I pour it over the ice and let the magic happen. The smell? Bright, lemony, and totally vacation-worthy. I love garnishing with a lemon wedge or a lime wheel—or both, if I’m feeling fancy. Sometimes I even toss in a cute paper umbrella. Because why not?
This drink screams summer cocktails. It’s easy and guaranteed to impress your guests—or just treat yourself. If I had to pick one summer cocktail forever, this Lemonade Margarita would absolutely be it.
And if you like a vodka cocktail, this Blueberry Vodka Lemonade is also a favorite summer drink.
