Nutter Butter ghost cookies have completely stolen my heart as the ultimate Halloween baking adventure! I never thought a simple peanut butter cookie could transform into something so magically spooky.
These little white ghosts practically dance off the baking sheet with their wobbly eyeballs! My kitchen becomes a haunted cookie factory every October, and I absolutely love it.
Friends think I’m some kind of Halloween wizard when these appear – kidding!

It’s definitely one of those Creative Halloween Ideas that makes me feel super crafty. I love how three basic ingredients create such impressive results that fool everyone.
These treats become the star of every Halloween gathering we attend or host.
My secret weapon for looking like a baking genius is finally revealed!
Fun for Kids to Decorate: Making Nutter Butter Ghost Cookies
I absolutely love involving kids in making these spooky treats every Halloween season! My favorite part is seeing their creativity come alive when they’re decorating their own ghosts.
The kids get so excited when I let them help dip the cookies. I like to set up a little assembly line on our kitchen counter. Their little fingers are perfect for placing those candy eyeballs just right on each cookie.
The best part is listening to their giggles when the eyeballs go completely crooked! I love how they name each ghost before placing the chocolate chip mouth.
Kids often make silly voices for ghost cookies while decorating them.
The mess they make is totally worth seeing their proud faces afterward. Give each child their own small bowl of melted candy melts. This way, they can dip at their own pace without rushing each other.
These moments in the kitchen become favorite Halloween memories every single year. I love how the kids argue over which ghost looks the friendliest! Their creativity always surprises me when they decide where to place each eyeball.
It’s great to let them eat the “practice” ghost that didn’t turn out. The kitchen might look like a candy explosion afterward, but I wouldn’t change it!
Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Make These Nutter Butter Ghost Cookies
Making these adorable ghost cookies is honestly one of my favorite kitchen adventures! I love how simple the process is, yet the results look so impressive.
First, I like to lay out wax paper on my baking sheet. This prevents any sticky situations later, and I’ve learned this the hard way!
Next, I melt my white candy melts according to the package directions. My favorite tip is to stir them every thirty seconds for smooth melting.
The dipping part is where the real fun begins for me! I love grabbing each cookie and dipping it about three-quarters of the way down. My technique is to let the excess candy coating drip off slowly back.

This creates that perfect ghost shape that I adore so much every time. While the coating is still wet, I quickly place two candy eyeballs on top. The chocolate chip mouth goes right underneath, creating the cutest spooky face ever!
I like placing each finished ghost on the wax paper to set completely. My favorite part is watching them transform from plain cookies into adorable characters. The whole process takes me about twenty minutes from start to finish usually.

I love how the white coating hardens perfectly, creating a smooth ghost surface. These little guys are ready to haunt your Halloween party in no time!
The best part is seeing everyone’s reaction when they see these cute treats.
