It doesn’t matter if you have a couple of pounds to lose or many, the struggle is real. We want to not be deprived of things we enjoy but we want to be healthier and be at a healthier weight for us.
If you have not tried the PB2 Peanut Butter you are really missing out. Both the regular PB2 Peanut Butter and the Chocolate BP2 Peanut Butter are amazing and low in points.
I love the regular peanut butter on a rice cake for just 2 points. It’s delicious for an afternoon snack that tides me over until dinner.
So, let’s get back to the Chocolate PB2 and Cool Whip – it’s super easy to make.
It’s important to keep in mind that portion size is a factor in weight loss. This recipe makes two 1/2 cup servings for 3 SmartPoints each serving on the old blue plan.

This PB2 Cool Whip dessert would taste just as good with the regular PB2 Peanut Butter but I had just bought this chocolate version and was dying to try it.
You may have seen this peanut butter powder and Cool Whip dessert with a drizzle of Sugar-Free Hershey’s Syrup. That is an option but you can still have the taste of chocolate and peanut butter by using the chocolate PB2. While the sugar-free Hershey’s Syrup is 0 points it is still going to have a few calories.

I put this recipe in the WW app and it is actually 8 points per item – two items being in the recipe. How did you get 2 points each? I used fat free cool whip- 1 cup and 1 tblspn of PB2. This does not make sense. Please let know what went wrong.
I think when you scan the fat-free cool whip with the app a half of a cup is only 1 point.
With fat free cool whip I get 3 points per serving.
I also get 3 pts but it’s soooo delicious
You’re not wrong. I even used the chat function to ask. This is an 8 point dessert 🙁
I believe the problem is that either the app is wrong or that WW has changed the point value for fat-free cool whip. When I created this and scanned the products, one serving was 2 points. It only has 56 calories. There is no way that I believe that this is 8 points regardless of what the app says. It sure is tasty…enjoy!
My app says 1 point for 2 Tablespoons. I can’t wait to try this! Thanks.
This is actually an 8 point dessert per the app.

Hi! Sorry do you make the PB2 with water before mixing in the cool whip or do you just add the powder to the cool whip ?
Hi Krystal, You just mix in the powdered pb2 without the water. Mix well and freeze. Enjoy!
The problem is that cool whip shouldn’t be measured by the cup. It is too light. You should be measuring it by tablespoons or ounces. You can have 12 Tbs of FF cool whip and that is only 3 points which is more than a dry measure cup. That may be what is making it come up with way more points than it should.
This is great information. Thanks for sharing it! I know when I made the recipe a few years ago it came up as a low point dessert on the app. Something has changed on how the recipe is calculated into points. I think I will correct the measurements in the recipe…thanks!
Do you have to freeze it?
You don’t have to freeze it but it seems a little more like ice cream or frozen dessert if you do.
is there a misprint in this recipe? how can a 16 oz container of cool whip only yield 2 servings? that like eating a full 8 oz tub. that cant be right…
Yes, you are correct. I had to update the recipe because the app was calculating the points incorrectly. It should be 16 tablespoons, not ounces. 16 tablespoons equals one cup making 2 half-cup portions. Sorry about that – I corrected it!
I’m confused about the amount per serving. How do you only get two 1/2 cup servings when you use a 16 oz. tub of Cool Whip? I’m not sure how many 1/2 cups you get from 16 oz., but I’m pretty sure you’d get more then just two 1/2 cups. Wouldn’t you get more than two servings from a 16 oz. tub?
