Best Garnishes for a Festive Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

When it comes to garnishing your Christmas tree charcuterie board, the options are endless, and I love how they can instantly make your board look even more festive!

Whether you’re aiming for a classic holiday look or something a bit more playful, the right garnishes can truly improve the board – big time. Here are some of my favorites!

Fruits and Vegetables – for That Color Pop!

I always start with fresh fruits and veggies to add that festive burst of color. Red grapes, cherry tomatoes, and pomegranate seeds are my go-to choices for that vibrant red!

Meanwhile, green olives, cucumbers, and kiwi slices bring out the traditional Christmas green. These natural foods not only add a pop of color but also a refreshing touch to balance out the richer items!

Don’t Forget the Staples – Meats and Cheese!

A Christmas charcuterie board wouldn’t be complete without some delicious cheeses and cured meats.

I like to use cubes of cheddar, creamy brie wedges, and mozzarella balls arranged like ornaments on the tree. In addition, salami or prosciutto rolled into little “ribbons” adds a fun and decorative twist!

Don’t forget rosemary sprigs—they not only add a beautiful green hue but also make your tree look (and smell) like a real Christmas tree!

And Lastly, Make it Sweeter!

To add that extra holiday spirit, I always sprinkle in something sweet. Dried cranberries and sugared almonds are festive and delicious!

You could also add gingerbread cookies or peppermint bark for a fun holiday twist. My personal favorite? Mini candy canes! They’re cute, colorful, and a sweet surprise on the board.

With these festive garnishes, your Christmas tree charcuterie board will be the highlight of your holiday party!

How to Serve Your Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board at Holiday Parties

Serving your Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board at holiday parties is all about presentation and pairing it with the right sides! I love how this festive board instantly becomes the centerpiece of any table.

To make it even more inviting, I like to start with a large, rustic wooden board or tray as the base—it gives off a vibe that everyone loves. You could also use a green or red platter to add more holiday cheer – yay!

Pairing with Dips and Spreads

No charcuterie board is complete without dips and spreads, right? I always serve mine with a selection of crowd-pleasers. My go-to’s are hummus, honey mustard, and a creamy brie dip.

You could also offer some cranberry chutney or fig jam to add a festive flair. I love how these flavors perfectly complement the variety of cheeses and meats on the board.

Choose The Right Crackers and Bread

For serving, I like to surround the charcuterie board with plenty of crackers, crostinis, or even warm slices of baguette. Not only do they add a crunchy texture, but they also provide a great base for layering meats, cheeses, and spreads!

My personal favorite is adding some rosemary crackers—they’re festive and add a hint of holiday flavor!

Finishing Touches for the Table

To really impress your guests, you can add small decorative touches around the board. I love to sprinkle in some pinecones, small Christmas ornaments, or even mini fairy lights to make the board pop.

Trust me when I say that it really makes the table feel extra magical! Plus, don’t forget to offer small plates, napkins, and cheese knives so everyone can easily help themselves.
