DIY ST. PATRICK’S DAY T-SHIRT
Are you in need of a cute DIY St. Patrick’s Day T-shirt for an upcoming St. Paddy’s Day celebration? This is a quick stylish tee to make in less than an hour…no sewing needed! I love the layered top trend that is very popular and I bought one to use as the base for my cheap St. Patrick’s Day t-shirt. I see them in a lot of different stores, so I don’t think it will be hard to find one.
Now you could probably buy a cheap St. Patrick’s Day T-shirt, but if you’re like me you like to get crafty!

SUPPLIES FOR:
DIY St. Patrick’s Day T-shirt
Layered T-shirt {Mine is from Target}
Shamrock Scarf from Dollar Tree – This Shamrock Scarf is similar
Now you could sew this project, but for a one-time wear shirt…why bother when you can use Fabri-Tac Glue to glue the fabric!
I started by laying the scarf across the t-shirt, cutting it, leaving about an inch and a half on each side. I then cut it in half lengthwise. Because the scarf frayed easily I use the bound edge as the bottom of the layer. Honestly, I didn’t do any measuring. I simply lifted the layer above the layer I wanted to cover and slipped the shamrock fabric underneath – trimmed to make it fit. I used the Fabri-Tac to glue it in place. The upper layer then laid over-top the glued edge. You could sew this if you like, but why bother.
In case you are not familiar with the Fabri-Tac glue, this is what it looks like. Perfect for this project.
The edges on the sides were fraying, so I used a little glue and rolled the edges under.
Cute for any GO GREEN day of fun! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I’m featuring this tonight on MMM!
What a great and simple idea! I’m so curious about how it washes … will the glue hold? Love the layered look!
I don’t think I will be washing this shirt much {wearing it that much} but the fabric glue should hold up with washing! I am wearing it for a St. Patrick’s Day night out!
This turned out super cute, and I featured it in a special St Patrick’s Day round up on my link party. Thank you so much for sharing with Saturday Spotlight last week. I hope you come by tomorrow to share more of your awesome creations!
