St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Shamrock Moss Art
I like to do a little holiday decorating around the house. Nothing over the top, but a little something to be festive. Today I am sharing my St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Shamrock Moss Art. Once I had my supplies bought, this was a quick project to make!
SUPPLIES
1 Package Moss Mat | Frame | Foam Shamrock | Gold Craft Paint | Glitter | Mod Podge or Glue | Hot Glue | Scissors | Tape | Paint Brush
First, I painted the green foam shamrock with gold paint. While the paint was drying, I laid the moss mat over the top of the frame and cut it with scissors to fit the inside of the frame. Once the gold paint was dry, I used a clean paint brush and brushed on a heavy coat of Mod Podge covering the shamrock. I then sprinkled on the gold glitter and let it dry.
I decided to attach the moss to the front of the glass in the frame using hot glue. To make it easy to remove (if I wanted to use the frame for something else) I placed masking tape on the glass in the four corners of the frame. I then put a dot of hot glue on the tape and pressed the moss mat firmly to the hot glue. In the past, I have been able to remove hot glue from glass, but to make it easy this time, I can peel the masking tape off and the glue with it! Easy!
