20+ Fresh and Fun Fruit Charcuterie Board Ideas

Treat your sweet tooth to something healthy and make these fruit charcuterie board ideas for your party (or just yourself). These Charcuterie Board Ideas are colorful, nutritious, and delicious.

Turns out, there are thousands of ways to create charcuterie boards! What started as a way to serve cured meats and cheese has morphed into snack platters of all shapes and sizes.

People even have charcuterie board parties, where everyone brings a board to share.

Some charcuterie boards are so lavish and detailed that they look impossible to replicate. That’s where I come in.

I perused Pinterest and asked my favorite bloggers for their help and created this list of fruit charcuterie boards. Scroll down and you’ll find colorful boards that even beginners can make.

Before we get to that list, I have some tips to set you up for success.

Best Fruit For Charcuterie Boards

Before you build and plan your charcuterie board, what type of fruit should you use? Are some kinds of fruit better for charcuterie boards than others?

Any kind of fruit will work! In fact, I used all types in my list of fruit charcuterie board ideas.

Just remember that some types of fruit should not sit out for very long. It’s better to make these snack boards right before you serve them.

For example, mandarin oranges take a bit of time to change color or texture, even when they are peeled.

Bananas and apples will start to turn brown and soft as they are exposed to the air.

So, if you need to make the board ahead of time, do as much food prep on hardy fruit first. Save the sensitive fruit for closer to the party.

Charcuterie Board Supplies

Every time I make a charcuterie board, I always rely on the same basic supplies. So, these are the things that I think you need before you begin.

First, you need to get a large cutting board or serving tray. Since charcuterie boards look best when they are really full, think about how much food you’re going to make. Don’t use a large board for a tiny snack tray.

Next, you’ll need some tiny forks or toothpicks. Basically, think about a way for people to serve themselves from the tray.

Finally, use ramekins or small bowls for the dips and spreads. This is especially important for fruit trays. Fruit tastes delicious with a dip!

I usually buy all my charcuterie board supplies from Amazon. I love how quickly stuff can get here (it’s great in a last-minute pinch).

Charcuterie Drink Boards

Now that you know which charcuterie boards you will make, think about the drinks. I have a couple of charcuterie drink boards that give you plenty of options. You’ll find something you love:

All of the drinks in the listed collections are alcoholic. But don’t worry – you can make anything into a mocktail, too. Just don’t add any alcohol.
