Why Make Snowman Cheese Ball?

A Snowman Cheese Ball isn’t just an appetizer—it’s a festive centerpiece that guarantees smiles and second helpings. I love how it adds charm and whimsy to any holiday spread while being ridiculously easy to make!

It’s the Life of the Holiday Table

Let’s face it—no one can resist the charm of a Snowman Cheese Ball. It’s the kind of appetizer that instantly makes your holiday spread more fun and festive.

Guests will go from “Ooh, this is adorable!” to “Wait, can I eat it?!” (Spoiler: yes, they can, and they will love it). I mean, what better way to break the ice—pun totally intended—than with a snowman made of cheese? It’s like bringing Olaf to your party, but tastier.

Effortless Yet Show-Stopping

One of my favorite things about this cheesy creation is how easy it is to make. You don’t need a culinary degree, fancy gadgets, or hours in the kitchen.

With just a few simple steps (and a sprinkle of parmesan magic), you’ll have an appetizer that looks like it belongs in a Pinterest Hall of Fame. Plus, it’s customizable! Want herbs in your cream cheese? Go for it. Prefer it plain? Perfect. It’s all up to you.

A Guaranteed Crowd-Pleaser

The Snowman Cheese Ball isn’t just cute—it’s downright delicious. Creamy, cheesy, and with just the right balance of flavors, it pairs beautifully with crackers, veggies, or even just a spoon (I won’t judge).

Plus, it’s a surefire way to keep the kids entertained—let them add the “arms” or “nose” while you sip your holiday cocktail. Trust me, this appetizer is the gift that keeps on giving.

How to Make This Cute Cheeseball Appetizer

Creating a Snowman Cheese Ball is way simpler than it looks, and the result is pure holiday magic. You only need cheese, a carrot, peppercorns whole, and sprigs of rosemary.

Let me walk you through the steps so you can impress your guests with minimal effort and maximum cuteness!

The Base of the Snowman

First things first—grab your cream cheese and let’s get rolling (literally). Mash that cream cheese together until it’s smooth and dreamy.

Next, divide it into two portions: one slightly larger for the snowman’s belly and a smaller one for his head. Wrap each portion in plastic wrap and shape them into perfect little snowballs. Honestly, this step is oddly therapeutic—like building a snowman, but without freezing fingers.

Parmesan Perfection

Here’s where the magic happens. Unwrap your cheesy spheres and roll them in a generous drizzle of parmesan cheese. Press lightly to make sure every nook and cranny is covered. The result? A beautifully snowy effect that’s almost too pretty to eat.

Assemble the Snowman

Stack your cheese balls with the help of a toothpick or small skewer. This keeps your snowman upright and ready for his debut. Add the finishing touches: a carrot nose, peppercorn eyes, and rosemary arms. Don’t forget to smile back at your little creation—it’s adorable and you made it!

Stack small cheese ball on top of the larger cheese ball to make the snowman.

Chill and Serve

Pop your snowman in the fridge until party time. When you’re ready to serve, pair it with crackers, veggies, or anything else you love. Honestly, watching your guests hesitate to destroy something so cute is half the fun. But once they take that first bite, they’ll be hooked.

Cheers to holiday appetizers that are as fun to make as they are to eat!

Wow guests with a festive Snowman Cheese Ball! This cute, cheesy appetizer is a showstopper & perfect for Creative Christmas Ideas.
Prep Time20 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese two packs
  • 1 carrot tip
  • 9 peppercorns whole
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Mash together the cream cheese. Make the lower ball bigger than the top ball. Do this by adding cream cheese to a piece of plastic wrap and then mash together and roll. Do this for both balls.
  • Open plastic wrap and drizzle some parmesan then roll and press lightly till the parmesan is coated around each ball.
  • Place a toothpick or small skewer pick into the bottom ball and then place the top ball on the other half of the pick.
  • Add the end of a carrot for the nose and peppercorns for eyes. Use the rosemary for the arms.
  • Keep in fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

You can mix Italian herbs into the cream cheese if you’d like. We like it without the herbs.
