Pomegranate Sea Breeze
One thing I love to do in the summer is entertain – I love planning a fun theme party with all the details that create an experience for my guests! Today I am sharing this Pomegranate Sea Breeze with Summer Party Tips in hopes that you will be inspired to entertain this summer as well!
One of the most successful parties I hosted was this Vintage Luau Party. Using non-luau party colors and simple details, I created a night to remember! There are plenty of simple ways to host the ultimate luau party. Here are a few tips to get the planning started!
Drinks: First, come up with a signature drink. By creating a signature drink, there is less need for having a fully stocked bar…I love that! I usually also serve wine, beer and vodka with a few mixers, and that is it. For the most part, guests will enjoy one of those beverages for the night, and you don’t need to worry about an extended bar. Yay!
Pomegranate Sea Breeze Ingredients
This Pomegranate Sea Breeze is a delicious cocktail that fits right into the luau party theme. It’s light and refreshing for any summer party but its ruby red color and grapefruit garnish makes me dream of tropical places! The PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur adds a twist to this favorite summer drink, making it delicious!

Besides having a signature drink consider these other party tips to hosting a fabulous summer soiree!
Food: Consider making a few easy to make appetizers like this Parmesan Goat Cheese and Basil Oil. What I like about it is that if can be made the day before and plated just before the guests arrive. Also, I never turn down an offer from friends to bring an appetizer…it adds variety and takes away some of the stress for you!
If you’re like me, you might like to get fancy with the apps like these 30 Creative Deviled and Hard Boiled Egg Ideas…so fun to create! It is never a bad idea to have a few frozen appetizers on hand if need be.
Desserts: You can get creative with your desserts like these Shark Fin Jello Cups {not that you want to see sharks at a luau} but fun for the kids…maybe these Sand Dollar Cookies would be better 😉
Decorations: It is relatively easy to decorate for a Luau party. I highly recommend visiting your local dollar store for leis, starfish, sand with shells, candles and so on. Look how cute these flamingo lanterns I found at our local dollar store are! Whatever your summer party theme, you will find lots of inexpensive treasures there.
Consider decorating the barware with honeycomb pineapples or ribbons like I did at these parties.
Lighting always sets the mood as the evening goes on. Consider having lots of candles, lanterns or any of these other outdoor lighting ideas!
I would love to hear what your summer parties are. Leave me a comment with any great entertaining tips!
