SUPPLIES:
Wilton 6-Cavity Silicone Heart Mold Pan *affiliate link* Red Fruit Juice
Seltzer Water
I started by freezing cranberry juice in the heart shape mold, but any flavor will do.
I am a little addicted to carbonation and I have a hard time staying away from diet sodas because of this. I have found that plain or flavored seltzer water does the trick. It has 0 calories with no sugar or sugar substitutes.
On the other hand, it is not very sweet. Sometimes I can drink the flavored seltzer by itself or I add a splash of juice. A full glass of seltzer with an ounce or two of juice makes for a very low-calorie drink…and it’s tasty!
Pop out the hearts and add your favorite flavored seltzer with a splash of juice for the kids! As the heart melts it will turn the seltzer pink, releasing the juice to flavor the drink.
For an adult version – use tonic water and a berry flavored vodka to turn this drink into a cocktail! Sounds yummy! Cheers!!
These would be so pretty to serve at an adult Valentine’s Day dinner party! How about you…do you have any big plans for Valentin’s Day?
You’re so creative with ‘frozen’ DIY projects! Love this drink idea — plus using Seltzer in place of high-calories sodas!
Yes, I have a lot of frozen projects. I better do a few DIY home projects for a change!
