Glitter Wire Wine Bottle Gift Tags
It is so easy to bring a bottle of wine as a hostess gift…especially this time of year when we are all so busy! I always {or as often as I can} like to add a personal DIY touch to mine in hopes that my hostess will think I put a little thought into the gift! Once I worked out the details on these Wire Wine Bottle Gift Tags, they didn’t take long to make. Here is another fun Wine Bottle Gift Bag DIY using sweaters!
The best part of this project was that I was able to use things I already owned!
Supply list:
Extra Fine Glitter
20 Gauge Wire or higher
Pliers
Mod Podge or glue
Store bought gift tag
After I got started with the project I realized I only needed the flat pliers, above, for crimping the folded over areas of the letters…for instance in the “Y” letter. I did use these small, pointed beading pliers to create a few of the the tight curls.
I cut a piece of wire that was equivalent to 3 1/2 loops of loose wire. Instead or using the pliers to form most of the letters, I found it easier to follow the natural curve of the wire using my fingers…crimping or shaping with the pliers as needed.
Once I had the wire shaped, I used a paint brush to apply Mod Podge and dipped it in the glitter. When the glitter is dry, apply another coat of Mod Podge to seal in place! Leave a little space at the end, in the tight curl of the wire, to add the gift tag!
