Green Drinks for St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect occasion to have green drinks! I have a few ideas to share with you that are great for St.Patrick’s Day or any spring afternoon!
Kiwi Colada
This Kiwi Colada is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any Spring event. This drink presents beautifully and has a wonderful flavor! Serve these fruity green drinks anytime this spring like at a Bridal Shower or Mother’s Day!
Recipe from My Recipes – Kiwifruit and melon liqueur give the cocktail a green hue and slightly tangy flavor. Although we used green kiwi, you can substitute the golden variety for a sweeter taste and golden color.
Yield: 6 servings (serving size: about 3/4 cup)
Ingredients
5 peeled kiwifruit, divided
3 cups ice
1/4 cup light rum
1/4 cup Midori (melon-flavored liqueur)
3 tablespoons Cream of Coconut (such as Coco Lopez)
1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
Preparation
Cut 4 kiwifruit into quarters, and place in a blender.
Set remaining kiwifruit aside. Add ice and remaining ingredients to blender; process until smooth.
Strain mixture through a sieve into a pitcher; discard seeds.
Divide evenly among 6 glasses.
Cut remaining kiwifruit into 6 slices; garnish each glass with 1 kiwi fruit slice.
Have you ever wondered how to make green beer? It is so easy!

Green Beer
Place 2 drops of green liquid food coloring in the bottom of a beer mug or glass. Darker beers may produce a more olive green color over a lighter beer.
Add the beer and stir if needed.
Voila. Green beer. Two drops seemed to be the right amount to get a nice olive-green sort of color. Three drops resulted in more of a kelly green shade. Source.
Be aware that liquid food coloring is intense coloring and may stain hands, clothing or tablecloth.
