Gorgeous Thrifty Christmas Decor
I love to make handmade decor for Christmas just because I like to make things! But guess what…it’s also very cost effective! I have collected some of my favorite Gorgeous Thrifty Christmas Decor Ideas, to make for the home or give as gifts. So pretty…let’s get crafting!
Keep in mind you can use items you already have at home or maybe something that is being thrown away and give it a brand new life by redecorating it for the holidays!
Thrifty Christmas Décor
This free Christmas printable we made is perfect to make guests laugh and use as holiday decor too!
If you have a vinyl cutting machine you can make this easy home decor craft. Use gold spray paint and re-purpose an old frame into new Christmas wall decor. (You could also use it as a gift idea too!)
This is a really cool way to reuse old plastic bottles and have the kids excited about a slight science experiment! (Use battery operated tea light candles for safety)
You can find everything you need to create these adorable Rudolph ornaments at your local dollar store! See how easy they were for us to make right at home.
This is a great way to recycle some of those winter sweaters that have a hole or you've outgrown! Turn them into festive door wreaths and use what you have on hand!
This whole sled is actually made out of wood and paint! Old sleds are hard to come by, even for decor purposes but now you can make your own and use it to decorate the outside of your home for the holidays too!
This thrifty Christmas decor also doubles as a craft with the kids. You can gather all your supplies and then let the kids create their own little snowmen.
Grab a planter box on sale as it comes into the winter season and add seasonal greenery to create the perfect table centerpiece!
Give an old globe a brand new life by turning it into a chalkboard globe fit for the holidays! Add removable decor items like lights and ribbon and change it out for every holiday!
You can get solid plain wood slices at your local craft store and add embellishments of all kinds. Get them in sets and then decorate them with different prints, colors, and even glitter to make each ornament unique.
Use an old candle stand as the base for this unique natural decor idea. Gather some sticks from outside and clean them up to add a pinch of nature to your holiday indoor decor.
Have a bunch of beads you have no idea what to do with? Make these gorgeous snowflakes! You can customize them into any shape or style you want and it's a great way to use what you already have!
Add a festive flair to your outdoor lights by wrapping the stems with red and white tape to look like candy canes!
If you have old sheets of music you can turn them into beautiful garlands or tree ornaments.
Take your regular brown wooden branch wreaths and spray paint them white to create your own snowman.
The dollar store has tiny trees that are small but you can add pine cones in them to fill in the gaps.
For these, you will need something hard to wrap the string around and then you can cut the shape away from your dried string.
You can take regular solid-colored cloth napkins and add a small piece of greenery or just seasonal colored ribbon and convert it to something brand new to use for decor.
