Thanksgiving is really about family. No need for gifts. Just time to reflect on what we are thankful for…a day to relax and enjoy good food and be with our families.
Turkey Crafts for Kids
With all the colors of Fall, these turkey crafts are sure to be a hit with the kids this Thanksgiving!
These easy-to-make turkeys are made with just cupcake liners and brown pom poms! Items you can find at your local dollar store! With the holiday season near they should carry more festive colors of the cupcake liners and craft supplies.
You only need 4 supplies to create these little gobbly guys! Paint, paper, a thumb, and google eyes! The kids can get a bit messy and create something festive to showcase on the fridge!
Gratitude and being thankful are key to this turkey craft for the kids. The bright colors and even practicing writing will help them with this craft. Each feather says one thing the kids are grateful (or thankful) for this holiday season. Glue the feathers to the back of the paper plate and make your turkey body to attach.
Much like the gratitude turkey from above, this toilet paper roll craft is based on finding what the kids are thankful for. Re-use toilet paper rolls and you can even use scraps of paper to make this an even more frugal craft idea. Check your dollar store for construction paper too!
This is a holiday-themed way to get the kids thinking and matching! Create these matching color turkey projects with construction paper, white paper plates, and paint!
This version of the grateful turkey is made from sample paint chips you can find in most stores that carry paint. Pair it with a painted paper plate and it's a perfect turkey picture!
Use up scrap cardstock or construction paper with this Thanksgiving turkey craft! You can pre-cut pieces for smaller children and let the bigger kids cut and fold their own tail feathers for their turkey!
Easy to make turkey project craft, this turkey features just solid colored black and white tail feathers with a brown body. Buy the solid colors in bulk to help save money (if you're buying for larger groups of kids).
Use natural elements like these pinecones to create beaded turkey crafts! You'll need pipe cleaners, construction paper, beads, and your pinecone for this craft!
Another cute way to use pinecones, this time you'll need feathers instead of beads and pipe cleaners. Make sure you have glue/glue gun to stick the feathers to the pinecone.
A super-frugal turkey craft idea, these clothespin turkeys are made with regular clothespins, old newspaper or book pages, construction paper, and google eyes. Most if not all of these items can be found at your local dollar stores!
This turkey craft might be for the tad older kids (around 2nd grade+) but you can cater it to smaller kids too. You'll need plastic spoons, paint, google eyes, and construction paper. The kids can have fun decorating the spoons (which will become the tail feathers) and adults can stick everything together when it's time to finish.
Have a burned-out lightbulb? Don't throw it away! Make a turkey with it! Add feathers and optional items like a hat or such and you've got an adorable turkey to display!

These adorable turkey snack bags are perfect for little kids! You'll need plastic gloves, pretzels, and some sort of colorful snack to use for the feathers. Add pipe cleaners for the feet (and use it as the twist tie for the gloves) and add a beak and eyes and it's done!
Use smaller mason jars to store your gift in like a sugar scrub! Use construction paper or felt to create the turkey face and tail feathers. Attach with a glue gun or sticky dots and your Thanksgiving gift is done!
Another way to use leftover paint chips, use Fall festive colors and grab a bag of Reese's Pieces as well as small food storage bags. Add your candy and seal closed. Attach to the "tail feather" chips and give away!
These place cards double as gifts for Thanksgiving! You can use chocolate M&Ms or Reese's Pieces candy to fill the small tubes. Add your feathers and attach them together.
