This watermelon mojito recipe makes 1 drink. Make sure you have plenty of supplies to share with friends! {wink}
 
It takes just a few minutes to make this delicious mojito recipe. Cube your watermelon chunks ahead of time as well as slice and wash mint so it is ready to go.

Ingredients:

  • fresh watermelon chunks
  • lime
  • mint
  • ice
  • white rum
  • simple syrup
  • soda water

Directions:

  1. In a glass of choice muddle the watermelon, mint, and lime.
  2. Add ice.
  3. Then add rum, simple syrup, and top it off with soda water.
  4. Stir and enjoy.
*note- add a couple of piece of watermelon in for addition color/garnish

How to make simple syrup

Can I make my own cocktail simple syrup? Yes, it is super easy to make with sugar and water.

Use equal parts of sugar and water.

  • 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water
  • Combine the water and the sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and simmer, stirring, until the sugar has completely dissolved and the syrup has thickened about 5 minutes.
  • Cool completely.
  • Use in all your cocktails and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one month.

* To make a smaller batch of simple syrup use a lesser portion of sugar and water. Just make sure they are equal.
 

Can I puree the watermelon?

Yes! If you prefer to puree the watermelon instead of muddling you may do so. Place cubed watermelon in the blend, and pulse a few times until smooth. Use a few ounces in each drink.
