DIY Be Thankful Jar Printable Cards
Today I have this DIY Be Thankful Jar Printable Cards. Perfect not only for kids during the holiday season but a great family activity as well!
I don’t know about you, but in our home, we are constantly talking about gratitude and how much we have to be thankful for. I know it isn’t quite Thanksgiving season yet, but I wanted to come up with a tangible way to help my girls recognize these things throughout the holiday season.
Enter our DIY Be Thankful Jar.
Take the pressure off planning Thanksgiving by using this complete guide and Thanksgiving planner!
Instead of having blank cards or strips of paper to write on, I created a quick printable with prompts to make it easier for grade school kids to collect their thoughts.
These prompts inspire kids to share special notes about the ones they love, things they are thankful for and reasons they love the Thanksgiving holiday.
It’s a simple concept, but I think that putting pen to paper helps us all remember just how much we have to be grateful for this time of year.
Simply download the Free Printable I Am Thankful Cards, cut them apart and leave them somewhere your children (and husband!) will see them on a regular basis.
I added them to a brass tray on our dining room table along with some pens and pencils. You might have to encourage them in the beginning, but after a few days, my girls are eager to find new things to be thankful for.
I’m betting you’ll have to make more copies before Thanksgiving ever gets here!

Fantastic idea! For the last couple of years I have tried to document one thing I am thankful for every day in November and it would be great to get the kids and the husband to participate along with me.
I am co-hosting the #HomeMatterParty link party this month and would love to have you stop by for a visit. The current party is open through Monday night or join us for the new party on Friday. http://alaynascreations.co/2015/10/30/home-matters-linky-party-61/
I love this idea and will be using it for Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing on Sunday’s Best Linkup.
This is great. People seem to get lost in the hustle and bustle of life and don’t sit and reflect on what they love and are thankful for that often anymore. I need to use these for this Thanksgiving and make it a point that our family uses them.
Lovely idea! Thanks for sharing.
What a great idea! This can be a great conversation starter after a thanksgiving meal. Thanks for sharing! Stopping by from Inspiration Monday.
