With this Sunday’s football game approaching, I decided to prepare for my Pittsburgh Steelers Football Party! Of course, any of these ideas can be applied to any team or child’s football theme party.
Find inexpensive decorations and supplies at the dollar store or Joann Fabric. I made these pennant shapes from sheets of scrapbook paper and peel and stick letters. A great dollar store find is sparking gold gift bag tinsel. Use two vases, one inside the other, placing the tinsel between the two vases then and yellow roses. I had a few black feathers, so I added them for contrast. I also happened to have some green felt that placed down the center of the table. If you’re feeling ambitious, you can add the white yard lines making it look like the field.
This football scrapbook paper was perfect to line the drink tray and wrap around my candle holders. Look for football stickers to decorate solid napkins.
Pretty team colored glasses are ready for your favorite cocktail. Consider adding a contrasting ribbon to each stem. Write each person’s name on the ribbon with a sharpie. I placed the round logo plates on top of a solid square black plate to give them more stability. Most people will be serving themselves and going back to their chairs to eat while watching the game. I tucked the napkin between the plates…one less thing to have to carry.
Here are a few great food ideas to serve.
