Hi, I’m Carrie and I blog about creating a lovely home for less at Lovely Etc. While I adore being a wife and mom, I also have an insatiable need to create! I love figuring out how to make beautiful things – even if it means firing up a few power tools. And I am all about finding ways to create exactly what I want for as little money as possible. I usually have at least five or six DIY projects going on at any one time and they are pretty much guaranteed to involve an awesome yard sale find, my trusty jigsaw, or my vast collection of turquoise paints.
I am on a mission to let others know that having a gorgeous home you love doesn’t need to break your budget. (Though it may lead to a paint-splattered wardrobe and out of control desire to find bargains!) I hope you enjoy this peek at some of my favorite projects and would love for you come join me at my blog any time to see creative ideas, get inspired, or just get to know each other!

Hi Carrie,
I was just blown away by that awesome floor redo-unbelievable !! The side board is a great vintage piece made over. It is lovely and a very serviceful piece. It’s cheeky and looks so much superior to fake wood.
I had an antique shoppe among other fun businesses, usually one business at a time, I was in a position to pick up grand pieces and other pieces waiting to be grand. I needed a vanity in my dressing room, but didn’t want all that ugly vinyl stuff. I found an exact replica of yours, had a hole drilled in the top and dropped in a beautiful green glass Italian sink bowl–painted and embellished the “decorative” protrusions
and handles—- and voile–we must be on the same wave link. Your home must be an envy to friends !!!
Keep creating-it does give much pleasure and you are pretty good.
many regards to you and all the other creative gals.
