Who is ready for Spring?! I know the winter blues can get us down…so let’s brighten our days with a pop of NEON color! This weekend I created a “Flower Power” DIY Neon Headband using this Tulip Dimensional Mini 3 Pack Fabric Paint! Tulip also makes a Neon One-Step Mini Tie-Dye Kit and Neon Fabric Markers to create a variety of bright projects! Pick up these exclusive products at your local Michaels Arts & Crafts stores. For those folks without a Michaels store in their area, you can order the products at iLoveToCreate.com.

Tulip Neon Dimensional Fabric Paint | Plastic Headband | Colored Rhinestones
First, I traced a flower shape onto pieces of non-stick foil. The super fine nozzle, of the dimensional fabric paint, made it easy to create a thin line around my flower tracing. I chose to keep my flowers open, but they easily could be filled in to create solid flowers. I made 7-8 flowers using the three different neon colors. I also added a few pink dimensional dots, to the headband, and let everything dry overnight.
Once dry, I gently peeled the foil back, to remove the flowers. Due to the tackiness of the dimensional fabric paint, I didn’t find it necessary to add any glue or additional paint to attach the flowers to the headband. They adhered nicely by themselves. Once I was happy with my flower pattern, I used a dab of the dimensional fabric paint to “glue” down my rhinestone gems. No glue needed!
A colorful headband any girl would love or even a fun 80’s night out!
