Tablescape – Table Setting Using Natural Elements
See how to create a table setting, using natural elements, to create a beautiful tablescape! A beautiful table setting is the first thing guest will notice when they sit down to enjoy a meal.
Tablescaping has become very popular these days with so many creative ways to set the table. For one thing, it is not necessary to use items that are usually used on the table. I think that is what is so fun about it…the more out of the box the items are the more original and inviting the table becomes. Give it a try the next time you entertain! Your guest will love it!
Below I have created a nature style tablescape using items I had around the house. A few are not things you would ever think of using on a table. Hope you enjoy these tips and tricks!
Think of using different elements with a new purpose like these green apple colored martini glasses that became the candle holders. I placed green leaves around the inside of the glasses, fill them with water and added a floating candle.
I had a floral stem of butterflies that I dismantled and added to a moss and twig cylinder. The base is made from decorative wall shelves I wasn’t using and found in the basement. I added some moss and small pebbles around the centerpiece and on the table. Also, I had these green glass bubbles that I scattered around as well.
The place setting is made up of several elements. The base is a piece of ceramic floor tile left over from when we built our house. To add a layer of color between the white plate and the tile I unfolded these pretty grass print napkins. They framed the plate beautifully. The purple salad plate adds contrast and a pop of color. I then place a single green leaf on top and used a small pebble as a place card.
I created the tablescape by layering the items. I used decorative wall shelves as the base to this hollow twig and moss cylinder.
Hope your day is creative!
