SUPPLIES:
- White Sugar
- Pink Food Coloring
- Half Pint Mason Jars
- Small Heart Cookie Cutter
- Almond Oil
- Ribbon
- Essential Oils
DIRECTIONS:
Recipe makes one jar.
Mix 3/4 Cup of white sugar with 2 Tablespoons of oil. I used almond oil, but you can also use safflower oil, olive oil or melted coconut oil.
Add 6-8 drops of essential oil to the sugar and mix well. I used Lavender oil but use your favorite. Spoon the sugar mixture into the jar and scoop a little away in the center. Reserve a little sugar mixture in the bowl for the heart. Insert heart cookie cutter pressing sugar down in the center.
Mix 2-3 drops of red food coloring with the remainder of the sugar – mix until the desired tint. Using a small spoon, fill the center of the heart and the sugar around the cookie cutter. I used a 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon for this and it worked really well.
While pressing the sugar down in the center slowly remove the cookie cutter. Gently press edges together and blend.
Tie the jar with a few pretty ribbons and decorate the lid! So SWEET!
