Ugly Christmas Sweater Party Wine Glasses

First, you need some sweater looking tissue paper or party napkins and fun trims and ribbons.

Supplies (purchased for Christmas 2013): Sweater Tissue Paper found at Target  |  Sweater Cocktail Napkins found at TJ Maxx  |  Trims and Ribbons from craft stores  |  Mod Podge  |  Wine Glasses from $1.00 bin at Target or Dollar Store  |  Pencil  |  Small Paint Brush  |  scissors

First, on the backside of the tissue paper or napkin, trace the wine glass. Cut out leaving at least a 1/8th of an inch outside the pencil line. You will need two circles for each glass. 

Using the paintbrush, cover the bottom of the glass with the Mod Podge as well as over the edge and a part of the top part of the base of the glass. While the glue is wet, place one of the circles on the bottom and wrap the sides up and around.

Take the second circle and cut it into the center point. From there make small little cuts creating a circle to go around the stem of the glass. Mod Podge the top of the base and glue it in place wrapping the extra around the edges.

Once all the tissue is glued down, completely glaze over the tissue paper or paper napkins using the Mod Podge. This seal the paper making it more durable.

Use any kind of trims, ribbons or sequins…be creative!! Look how cute the bottoms will look when you take a drink!
