Sign Color Combination Options

Here are some inspiring color combinations to consider for your DIY Pallet Sign Art project, each catering to different styles and preferences:

  1. Bright and Bold:
    • Sunset Burst: Use fiery reds, vibrant oranges, and sunny yellows to create a warm and energetic piece that captures the essence of a sunset.
    • Tropical Vibes: Combine turquoise, fuchsia, and lime green for a lively and exotic look that brings a touch of the tropics to your art.
  2. Soft and Pastel:
    • Spring Garden: Blend soft pinks, gentle lavender, and mint green for a delicate and soothing palette reminiscent of a blooming garden.
    • Dreamy Sky: Opt for pastel blues, light peach, and creamy white to evoke a serene and airy feel, much like a peaceful sky.
  3. Earthy Tones:
    • Nature’s Harmony: Mix rich browns, deep greens, and muted oranges for a grounded and natural look that brings the tranquility of the outdoors into your space.
  4. Classic Combinations:
    • Timeless Elegance: Pair navy blue, crisp white, and gold accents for a sophisticated and classic appearance that never goes out of style.

How To Make A DIY Pallet Sign Art:

Step 1: Freehand your image…in this case, a Sun. (I wanted it to look folkart-esk, so I didn’t worry much about perfectly, straight lines.)

Step 2: Get out all your leftover paints…mix them around…and create various shades. Or buy paints that are a few shades apart.

Step 3: Paint your design.

Step 4: Stencil on your outline…if words are what you want.

Cutting out and drawing a stencil of the word "Hello"

Step 5: Paint and sand.

    1. I didn’t make this, Arden, so I really don’t know. It looks like full-size pallet slats that I would guess to be 5′ or 6′ long. Using 3 slats together. I love it too!
