Christmas seems to be the one time of year that we look to create family traditions. It’s about family and creating memories that will stay with us forever. I know I look back on my childhood Christmas Eve with fond memories of family and friends. We are never too old to feel the magic of the season!
From toddlers to teens start a new family tradition on Christmas Eve with this Night Before Christmas Box with Free Printable Label! Fun for the whole family!

So, what is the Night Before Christmas Box? It’s a little pre-gift to open before or on Christmas Eve with simple activities and a snuggly new pair of pajamas!
Hey, Friends! I just created a complete
NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS BOX PRINTABLE COLLECTION!
It includes 18 custom Christmas printables to fill the weeks before Christmas with the excitement of Santa’s arrival! Plus a new Night Before Christmas Box Label!
For young children consider including:
Children’s Plastic Cups and Hot Cocoa Mix
Small Christmas Stuffed Animal
The idea is to have a few small items to wear and do as a family when the anticipation of Santa’s arrival is high!

While this would seem to be only for young children…I disagree. Teens would so be into this…once a believer always a believer! I actually created the box below for my 21-year-old daughter who is in college. I think she will love it!
For teens consider including:
Christmas Flannel Fleece Pajama Set
Classic Christmas movies – Christmas Vacation or A Christmas Story
for instance.
Hot Cocoa Mix and Christmas Mug
It doesn’t matter the age. Everyone likes to get comfy and spend time together watching a favorite movie while sipping hot cocoa!
Here are two FREE printable labels in pretty holiday colors I created to place on your box! I bought a couple of holiday boxes from a craft store and mounted my labels to them, but you can easily apply the label to any wrapped gift box.
I originally thought I might embellish the box with more trim, but after applying the label, I decided the planner the better. On the blue label, I created a flat velvet ribbon bow and on the green, I added a small red rhinestone nose to the deer. The printable has a red nose, so no rhinestone needed…I happen to have one handy!
Printing Tip: I recommend using cardstock paper, but it is not necessary. Make sure your printer margins are set to less than 1/2 inch to be able to print the full image. Trim out and glue to your package. I used spray mount to attach my labels, but you could use a glue stick or scrapbook glue tabs. A wet glue will make the paper wrinkle.
I recommend printing on cardstock paper.

Awesome, Alli! I think this is such a cute idea! Enjoy the printable label for the box!
we usually open PJ’s on xmas ever – but I LOVE this box idea. I see a new tradition starting in our family
What a lovely idea.
In our house we always read a beautiful Christmas book called “This is the Star” every Christmas Eve. I used to love it and am trying to persuade my teenagers that we should still snuggle on the sofa and read it aloud this year – they are resisting my idea and I can’t imagine why! Enjoy times like this whilst you can!
LOVE this idea! Can’t wait until Christmas!!
That’s awesome, Veronica! I made a box for my 22 year old last year…she loved it!
My mother was born on Christmas and she made the holidays a magical time of year. We would make cookies, pick out the perfect tree, decorate and shop. She started the tradition of getting us new jammies for Christmas eve and when I had my son I started that tradition for my son. When my mother died my sister came to live with us and we started a new variation. My husband, sister, son and I buy each other new jammies, a Christmas mug for hot chocolate and we watch a Christmas movie. I think of my mother every day, I had the best mother.
