Bedroom Decorating
We moved into a new house about 16 months ago…I have been working on decorating the whole house at once. I like to just stumble upon great things that I think will pull a room together. It will be a never ending project, but I find the best stuff when I’m not looking for anything specific.
This first picture was from last year. I had bought this beautiful new bedding that is blue and gold…it is a beautiful rich fabric. Nothing much changed until the fall.
Bedroom Decorating
When I bought the blue bedding in the Spring I also found this bronze/taupe bedding with velvet trim and a few rhinestones. Again, really beautiful and on clearance…so I bought it to change things out for the winter. Even though I like things light and bright somehow when Fall is in the air I want to go darker.
The biggest change in the room came just a few weeks ago. I found this amazing wallpaper at Target of all places…on sale. It is this blue/turquoise color with metallic brushed gold trees. At the time I didn’t know what I would do with it…I fell in love with it and just had it hung. I was a little afraid of hanging it in just the “bay” area of the room around the windows, but I love it. Now I don’t need to do any draperies.
Just this weekend I switched my bedding back to the blue Spring/Summer look. I recovered the cushions on the chairs with a light blue velvet.
