Gather all supplies. To create each pencil, line up three jumbo craft sticks on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the pencil and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks.
TIP: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.
Basecoat the pencils with gold acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary. Use washable markers, crayon, or even colored pencil to color the jumbo craft sticks.
Download, print, and cut out the pencil patterns. Trace pencil top onto brown paper, the pencil eraser onto pink paper, and the eraser cuff onto grey paper with a marker or pencil.
Cut out all of the pencil patterns with scissors.
Attach two wiggle eyes with a glue gun and glue sticks. Create cheeks by dipping a new pencil eraser into pink acrylic craft paint and stamping on both sides of the pencils.
Glue the eraser cuff to the eraser, and then attach to the bottom of the pencil with a glue gun and glue sticks. Attach the pencil top to the top of the pencil.
Draw a smile from cheek to cheek with a black marker. Add the pencil point, accent on the eraser cuff, and lines down the pencil shaft with a black marker.
