How to Make Reindeer Food Bags

Learn how to make reindeer food bags for a magical Christmas Eve. Easy, festive, and fun for kids, family, and holiday traditions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup red sanding sugar sprinkles
  • 1 tsp jimmies or edible glitter

Instructions

  • For the reindeer food, mix together the oats and sprinkles.
  • Add to the cello bags and use a tie to tie the bags up.
  • To create the burlap bags, import the svg to your silhouette or cricut software.
  • For silhouette- open the SVG & resize to 3.5 inches wide. Make sure that the svg is set to cut under the "send" tab. When cutting, make sure to select to mirror the image.
  • For cricut- import the design, and edit to make it 3.5 inches wide. Click make it, and make sure mirroring is on.
  • Add a 5x5 piece of the vinyl to a cutting mat, shiny side down.
  • Cut the design into the vinyl using your machine settings for HTV.
  • Weed the design.
  • Preheat your cricut heat press to about 300 degrees.
  • Place the blank burlap bags onto your mat.
  • Preheat the bags for 5 seconds.
  • Place the vinyl design where you want it, and cover with parchment.
  • Press the design for 30 seconds.
  • Allow the bags to cool, then peel off the plastic.
  • Add the reindeer food to the pouch.
