- 12 oz chocolate chips 12 oz. bag milk chocolate, semi sweet or dark choclate
- 3/4 cup Nutella
- 2½ cups chow mein noodles up to 3 cups
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts chopped
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the chocolate chips on the stove. Remove from heat. Stir in Nutella until well blended.
2. Add chow mein noodles and stir to combine fully.
3. Drop a tablespoon of the chocolate mixture on a sheet of wax paper or foil.
Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.
Let sit for a few hours until the chocolate hardens.
Store in a sealed container layering with wax paper!
Makes about 15 to 20 haystacks. I made them in small batches – about five at a time sprinkled them with chopped hazelnuts and made more.
That way the nuts stick to the chocolate before hardening.
