Tropical Tablescape

If your like me your dreaming of the Tropics and knowing your just not going to get there this year. I would be happy with a few hot sunny days…just can’t seem to get any of those either. Anyway, we can still pretend we are in the tropics. Every year I do buy a few Hibiscus plants for the backyard. I love to pick the blooms and enjoy them in the house. They are just a gorgeous tropical summer flower.

Today I am participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch. Stop by as see many other wonderful tablescape inspiration. I am also participating in Foodie Friday at Designs by Gollum. Stop by to see some wonderful foods!

Last year I bought these real dried pineapples from Pottery Barn…they were 75% off. They did make it though the winter, but I don’t know how long they will last before they get a little funky. They are a fun accent for this table or could make for a creative summer centerpiece. My napkins also have red Hibiscus tying in with my centerpiece.

I cut several blooms from my plants, filled a shallow leaf dish with water, and place the flowers on the dish. I used two Hibiscus dishes as votive candle holders.

I have had these cactus margarita glasses for a couple of years…a great find from the dollar store.

Below you will find a few Pineapple inspired dishes and a delicious Pineapple Margarita!
