2-Ingredient Dole Whip Recipe

Let’s be honest, the Dole Whip is one of the most popular desserts at Disney World. It’s basically one that you shouldn’t pass up when you visit.

So when I was trying to create WW-friendly recipes, I wanted to recreate this one for sure. And guess what? A 1/2-cup serving of this Dole Whip is ZERO WW Smart Points! Now that’s a dessert I can enjoy.

This is a yummy Weight Watchers dessert and healthy frozen treat that will replace the high calories of ice cream.

Even though pineapple is typically a summertime fruit, this Dole Whip tastes refreshing any time of year – even in the cold of winter. In fact, I like to enjoy it and imagine I’m on a beach somewhere.

Ingredients

I used one bag of frozen pineapple and unsweetened almond milk. Yup, just those two ingredients.

If you are on WW or counting calories, please be careful and purchase the unsweetened almond milk. I suggest you buy the original flavor, not the vanilla. The vanilla almond milk didn’t taste exactly right in my Dole Whip.

You don’t need any extra sweeteners. The pineapple is sweet enough on its own.

Health Benefits of Dole Whip

Pineapple is one of the healthiest fruits you can eat. It has enzymes that help ease digestive problems and is full of immune system-boosting vitamin C.

Plus, it’s packed with disease-fighting antioxidants and can even help your body suppress inflammation (which can help ease the symptoms of arthritis).

Unsweetened almond milk is amazing for you too! It’s high in protein and low in calories. This little smoothie makes a healthy breakfast option or is a good idea if you are craving something sweet.

Best Blender For Smoothies

My favorite blender is the Ninja Professional. It will last you a really long time and doesn’t take up very much space on your countertop. If you want a single-serving blender, I suggest the NutriBullet system.

You can take your Dole Whip with you on the go. If you use a smaller one like the bullet, then you will need to cut the recipe in half first.

How To Store Leftover Dole Whip

This Dole Whip won’t maintain the same texture for very long in the refrigerator. I suggest enjoying it fresh, as soon as you make it.

Ninja Creami Dole Whip Recipe

I have been enjoying my new Ninja Creami and this skinny dole whip recipe can also be made with a Creami.

If making the dole whip with a Ninga Creami it is not necessary to use frozen pineapple since the Creami container must be placed in the freezer for 24 hours.

Ninja Creami Dole Whip Ingredients & Instructions:

1 Can Pineapple
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (not vanilla) or milk.

  1. Drain the can of pineapple and save the juice in a bowl.
  2. Add the pineapple to the Creami pint container.
  3. Next, add the 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk or milk into the container.
  4. Then add the pineapple juice until the “fill line” on the Creami container.
  5. Place in the freezer for 24 hours.
  6. Blend on the ice cream setting or light ice cream setting on the Ninja Creami and then do a respin.

ENJOY!

More Healthy Desserts

If you want more healthy dessert ideas, try one of these. They are some of my favorites!

  2. On a hot summer day, sit back and enjoy the refreshing taste of Fresh Fruit Popsicles, watermelon and lemonade flavors.
  3. Treat yourself to a delightful bowl of Strawberry Banana Sorbet, with its natural sweetness of ripe strawberries and creamy banana.
  4. Experience a scoop of Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream, as vanilla flavor melts on your tongue, you won’t miss the calories of traditional vanilla ice cream.
