DIY WEDDING FLOWER POTS

I don’t know the exact supplies used to make these Tulle DIY Wedding Flower Pots, but here are suggestions.

SUPPLIES:

2 Terra Cotta Flower Pots in different heights – one taller pot for the base

White Spray Paint  |  White Tulle Bolt or 12″ Roll | 1 1/2″ – 2″ Satin Ribbon

Needle & Thread or Sewing Machine

Consider what length you want the skirt to be and buy your tulle according to size. Keep in mind you need about an 1 1/2″ to gather with. Also, think about the width of the ribbon and how you plan to attach it before purchasing. I often buy several options so I have everything I could possibly need and return any unused product. That way I am not running to the store in the middle of a project – a real timesaver!

There are two ways to gather tulle. You can use a sewing machine or use needle and thread

You might not need to get this technical but Here is a tutorial using a sewing machine Possibly glue ribbon to the gathered tulle instead of creating a waistband with the ribbon. It’s for decoration not to wear as shown in the tutorial.

Here is a tutorial using needle and thread. Pretty easy – just thread through the tulle and pull to gather. Tulle should be the length of double or triple the size of the pot where you want to place the skirt. This will create a fuller fluffier skirt.

Here are easy tips for sewing tulle. These tips might be really useful!
