DIY Photo Timeline Milestone Birthday Invitation For 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th + Birthdays
Today, I am sharing a fun Timeline Milestone Birthday Party Invitation that I created for my husbands and my 50th Birthday party! This would be perfect for anyone celebrating a milestone birthday like the 30th, 40th, 50th and beyond! Easy to make and sure to bring a smile to the guest receiving it! On top of turning 50 we are also celebrating 25 years of marriage! I know…half our lives…seems crazy! We have to remember we are as old as we feel!!
I really like this double party wording as well…
Double the fun
Double the cheer
Kevin and Sue
are 50 this year!
Double the candles
Double the cake
Come join us to celebrate!
This invitation was easy to make. Over the years we have attended a lot of fundraising events where we would be dressed up. We always had someone take our picture before we headed out to the event. So, I dug out a bunch of those photos and a few Halloween pictures and made color copies of them all. Then I cut them out into silhouettes and arranged them in order on an 11″ x 14″ piece of paper. My plan was to fold the paper as a four panel accordion style invitation. The front of the invitation would be copied on the backside and fold over to be the front of the invitation.
The text was printed from my computer and arranged so that it fit in-between the folds of the paper. I used a spray adhesive to glue the text and the photos in place.
I then took the original copies to a business that could make the 11″ x 14″ color copies. They backed up the cover of the invitation, so that it was all on one piece of paper. I hand folded and mailed them in brightly colored envelopes. Sorry, I erased all the personal information!
Don’t you love the 80’s look! Although, I think I am wearing a similar hair style today 🙂
