Jalapeno Cream Cheese Bacon Bites

Honestly, there’s just something in general about bite-sized snacks that gets me going, and my family feels the same way. Besides the Jalapeno Cream Cheese Bacon Bites, these Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sliders are a huge hit as well.

Ingredients: 
cream cheese softened
mozzarella cheese shredded 
smoked bacon cheddar shredded
jalapenos seeds removed, chopped finely
bacon sliced finely and cooked to crispy bits
Spiced flour
eggs
Panko breadcrumbs

Jalapeno Cream Cheese Bacon Bites

These Jalapeno Cream Cheese Bacon Bites offer everything you want in an appetizer! A combination of gooey cheese, bacon and a little bit of spice. A delicious bite-size appetizer for any occasion – game day, parties or get-togethers with family and friends! Can be made in an Air Fryer.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream cheese softened
  • 6 oz Mozzarella cheese shredded 
  • 6 oz Smoked bacon cheddar cheese shredded 
  • 6 Jalapenos seeds removed chopped finely
  • 10 pieces Bacon sliced finely and cooked to crispy bits
  • 4 Eggs beaten
  • 3 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • Spiced flour : 
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder

Instructions

  • Place all of the cheese ball ingredients in a bowl and mix to combine well.
  • Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and set to the side
  • Using a small ice cream scoop/cookie dough scooper spoon, portion out the cheese mix and make 1 inch balls. Place the balls on a baking tray.
  • Put the baking tray in the freezer for about 15 minutes until they are firm.
  • While the cheese balls are in the freezer prepare the dredging station.
  • In one bowl add the flour, garlic powder, cayenne, and onion powder, mix to combine.
  • Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl.
  • Place the Panko crumbs in a third bowl.
  • Dredging steps: 
  • Place the chilled cheese balls in the spiced flour mix.
  • Now coat with eggs, followed by the flour again, and the egg mix again.
  • Finally, coat the cheese balls with the panko crumbs and set aside on the baking tray again.
  • Pre-heat if needed your Air fryer to 360°
  • Place the cheese bites in a single layer.
  • You may need to cook in batches.
  • Cook for 9 minutes
  • Remove the cheese balls from the Air Fryer.
  • Serve warm with dipping sauce. Enjoy!

    1. Hi AnnieMae, I have never baked them before but I am guessing you can. I would place them on a non-stick foil-lined cookie sheet. I would suggest 350 degrees for the temperature for about 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them in the oven after 7 minutes and judge the time needed until golden brown. They may need to be in the oven for longer than 10 minutes but I am not sure. Just make sure they don’t burn.

  1. The Jalapeno Bites look so yummy. I want to take them to a party, but would have to make them ahead of time. Can these be frozen ?

    1. I don’t see any reason why they could not be made ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator for a day or so. I would think they could be frozen as well but I am not sure how much time you would need to cook them. Possibly let them defrost sitting on the counter for a while before placing in the air fryer.
