Vintage Luau Party Style

Vintage Luau Party Decorations

This Vintage Luau was a perfect way to say goodbye to summer. I thought it would be nice to have a softer color palette than the usual bright luau colors - pinks, turquoise and gold in different patterns helped to pull off my look. Hope you enjoy my Vintage Luau Party Style! I found fun honeycomb hula girl straws and party pics that I also used to decorate my wine glasses and cake pops. Some of the other decoration used were vintage metal serving trays, brass candle sticks, dried pineapples and lots of palm leaves. Signature drink was a Lava Colada! I used premixed Read More...

Lava Colada – Hawaiian Luau Drink

Lava colada drink 1

This Lava Colada - Hawaiian Luau Drink was a big hit at my Vintage Luau Party! This is my easy version of the Lava Flow drink, enjoyed by many while visiting Hawaii. While mixing each drink individually sound wonderful, it is also difficult to do when serving a crowd. I used premixed Pina Colada mix {including the alcohol} for the base of my drink. Then pureed a large container of strawberries that I poured from a pitcher to top of my drink. It is important to serve the pina colada in a clear glass and see the strawberry puree run down the sides - watch the Lava Flow! Of course, Read More...

Honeycomb Wine Glass Charms

wine glass decoration charms

Here is a simple way to add a little party decoration to a wine glass or any stemmed glassware. Recently, I had a Luau Party and bought a bunch of honeycomb straws for my drinks. Knowing I had a lot of extras {and while sleeping or I should say thinking in the middle of the night} I came up with this clever little idea to accent my wine glasses - Honeycomb Wine Glass Charms! These are the cute little straws. Pineapple straws came from the Dollar Tree and the hula girls came from Marshall's. The decoration is attached to the straw with a small paper loop. I either Read More...
