Black Tie Tablescape

Black Tie Affair – Why not give your table a formal feel for a night. You would not want to sit down at this table unless you were properly dressed. Why go out for an expensive dinner when you can create the same ambiance at home…Black and White will do the trick!

Layer the table with different textures of black and white…placemats, tablecloth or even use scrapbook paper as I did here. This is a white tablecloth with a plastic striped “see through” placemat on top. Then I added a piece of black scrapbook paper under the plate. If you look closely in the corners of the black paper I glued a small crystal gem.

I created the place card using a small glass picture frame studded crystals. I simply printed out the names on my computer and inserted as you would a picture. Use the glass in the frame as a template to get the paper cut to the perfect shape.

A piece of black sheer fabric and white rose buds down the center of the table create the centerpiece.

I fell in love with these beautiful flower shaped salad plates the minute I saw them. Antique silverware gives it all classy touch.

This black stemware is timeless and always a good investment. These are at least thirty years old and still look stunning on any table.

I am participating in Tablescape Thursdays at Between Naps On The Porch. Check out all the other tablescapes there!
