Lava Flow Cocktail – Hawaiian Luau Drink

This Lava Colada – Hawaiian Luau Drink was a big hit at my Vintage Luau Party! This is my easy version of the Lava Flow drink, enjoyed by many while visiting Hawaii. While mixing each drink individually sound wonderful, it is also difficult to do when serving a crowd.

Lava Flow Ingriedents

  • Light rum
  • Coconut rum
  • Strawberries
  • Ice
  • Banana
  • Coconut milk or cream
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Pineapple wedge for garnish

This lava flow cocktail has the flavors of a strawberry daiquiri and a pina colada all in one drink – the strawberry puree made them delish! You will love the Lava Flow Cocktail!

Tip: Use a Pina Colada Mix to save time during a party.

I used premixed Pina Colada mix {including the alcohol} for the base of my drink. Then pureed a large container of strawberries that I poured from a pitcher on top of my drink. It is important to serve the pina colada in a clear glass and see the strawberry puree run down the sides – watch the Lava Flow!

Of course, it was even more fun to drink using hula girl straws! This drink can totally be kid-friendly by using a nonalcoholic pina colada mix.

I repurposed a pretty turquoise picture frame for my drink sign. The sign type I printed from my computer and mounted it to a piece of soft floral print scrapbook paper…added a little starfish to the frame…it’s all in the tiny details!
